Hello my friend and welcome. Welcome to the Claim your Day podcast. We’re right in the middle of a series all about consistency. Because if you want to claim your day, if you want to make the most of what you have, you want to see, you know, evidence of that, like. Like making gains in the areas of life that are most important, important to you, then you’ve got to be consistent.

Hello, my friend and welcome. Welcome to the Claim your Day podcast. Glad you’re here and joining in today. We’re. We’re right in the middle of a series, say, right in the middle. We’re toward the tail end of a series all about consistency, while becoming consistent with the things that are important to you for you. Your life, your family, your values. I want you to be consistent. That way you can.

You can see the results of a day lived. Well, that’s where it’s at. It’s about developing that consistency, you know, for what’s most important to you. I’m not here to tell you what’s most important to you. You discovered that you determine that for you in your own life and your values. But what I want to do is I want to help you to be able to live those values out.

And one of the ways to do that is by being consistent in it. So if you missed any of the previous episodes, just listen to them. Wherever you’re listening to this episode right now, right here, right now is where you can find the previous ones. We have this, today’s episode, and then one more episode coming up for the consistency series, and then we’ll dive on to whatever we got next.

All right, so today we’re talking about, you know, bringing, like, bringing consistency into your life and just integrating it so it becomes a lifestyle. And because really, there are no real true overnight successes, or at least none that stick. You think about it, anyone at the top of their game, you know, that’s making significant gains, that’s, you know, successful in the life areas that are important to them.

You know, anyone that has reached that level, you know, had to be consistent. It’s not like they just magically ended up there overnight. Like John Maxwell says, you know, no one becomes successful and then says, I have no idea how I got here. It just happened. I woke up and I had all these things exactly how I want. No, if you want to make progress, you want to achieve things.

You want to live that life that you want is important to you. You got to be consistent to get there. You know, it might be in the areas of your profession. You know, maybe that’s an area that you really want to make some gains in. Great. You got to be consistent or maybe it’s in the area of, of a skill or a sport. Consistent dedication is going to help you to, to be able to see those gains and to make that progress.

And, and it’s every bit as true in some of the other areas. You know, we talk about family, if we talk about your health, we talk about other values that you have. It’s the consistency over time that’s going to let you see those gains. And then also when you’re, when you’re focusing on that consistency and not just trying to have a one hit wonder or just knock a home run out of the park all the time and going big, when you’re consistent in the small things, it really can help your wellbeing too because you’re not having to put all that pressure on yourself to have this massive leap.

Instead, small steps over time will take you a greater distance in those large leaps. So, you know, imagine that person that was consistent and committed to exercise and eating healthy. Well, I bet you over time, you know, they’re going to not only achieve their fitness goals, you know, whatever they are for them and according to their, you know, habits and routines, but they’re also going to have that more energy and that confidence and that greater quality of life because they did it over the long term.

You know, have you ever wondered what it would be like to just live a life of true consistency? You know, imagine achieving your goals and fulfilling, fulfilled, you know, living in a way that is aligned with your values consistently. Wouldn’t that just be great? Wouldn’t that be amazing? Well, you can do it. And today we’re focusing on bringing that consistency to your lifestyle so that it can impact all the areas of your life.

I want you to think about actually making consistency. It’s just a part of who you are. You are consistent in the things that are important to you. Think about that. It’s not about just being consistent in a specific action or specific area. Yes, that’s helpful. A little caveat. Sometimes what can be a great way to bring something into your life and just make it a part of your habits and your routines and who you are is by starting in one area.

So you might start to develop consistency in a specific area with a specific action, but allow it to expand, allow it to expand so that it can impact the other areas of your life that are important to you. And this is going to be extremely impactful or relevant to you. When you’re consistent in the areas that align with your values because that’s what’s going to help it to spill over into the other areas of your life.

And it’s not going to be just through, like I said, a one hit one, or it’s going to be over time. And over that time, you’re, you’re going to have some, some successes. You’re going to have some not so much successes. And it’s while you continue to learn and improve, that’s, you’re going to have to continue to do that so that you can develop that consistency. It’s not about getting it right just the first time.

You have to commit to continual improvement and learning. Are you up for that? Well, I believe you can be. I really do. I believe in you. You know, in one of our previous episodes in this series, it had all to do with, you know, the setbacks and the challenges that you’re going to face and how to overcome them. Well, if you need to listen to it again, go back and listen to it.

But when you’re talking about, you know, continuing to get better and continuing to improve, then you’re going to have those challenges and those setbacks. You got to be able to overcome them and get back up after you get knocked down. So go back and listen to that episode if you need to. That’s one of the great things about episode podcasts is that you can go back and refresh yourself when you need it.

So when you’re working to bring into consistency into your lifestyle, just being a part of who you are so it can impact all the areas of your life that are important to you. Remember, the key takeaway for this consistency into your life is continuous improvement. Always keep learning, always keep improving. And that’s gonna always help to keep you going forward. So why is it important, why is it important for you to be able to have this consistency just a part of who you are and impact all your areas of your life?

Because that’s how you’re gonna get the holistic growth like that’s how you’re gonna like overall, in a healthy way be able to grow and improve. And as John Maxwell says, the only way to make sure tomorrow is better than today is, is to be growing today. So I want you to be in this, this mode of consistent holistic growth. And a great way to do that is by bringing consistency into the life areas that are important to you.

It’s going to not only help you to make those gains, but it’s going to help your well being too. Because it’s not Going to be all lopsided with just pushing really hard and burning out and then falling back, you know? Nope, consistency is not that. Consistency is regular improvement on a regular basis. And also how bringing consistency into just your whole life is going to help you, it’s going to make the changes that you’re making sustainable.

You know, it’s those large leaps that you can’t maintain. But small steps over time really can take you a large long distance and you can maintain those small steps. It’s when you try to take those large leaps that you, you might be able to get one or two in, but then you’re just cooked. You know, you don’t got nothing left. You’re spent. But it’s that consistency becoming who you are, and then you can maintain that and the changes you go on to make.

So you’re going to be able to stick to them because those slow changes over time, they build and they build and you’re able to maintain that. It’s all helping you to maintain those changes that you want to make. And one of the, another, the third thing, that’s why bringing consistency into just you as your, for your lifestyle, I think, is one of the most important reasons is because it’s going to help you to become resilient.

Look, there’s ups and there’s downs. There’s always challenges. There are setbacks. Yes, we want to learn from the challenges and setbacks, of course, but a key part of them is being able to get back up and keep moving forward. And that’s all about being resilient. And when you’re consistent, when you’re consistent, you’re developing that habit, you’re moving, you’re moving forward. You have that momentum because you’re consistent. You already know what you need to do because you’re consistent with it.

You get this and that, and that helps you to be resilient because you will get knocked down. You’re going to get some bumps and bruises, scrapes and scraps and all that stuff when you’re trying to move forward, of course you are. That’s life. It’s not supposed to be easy. It’s supposed to be worth it. And it is. And the more consistent you are, and you already bring that into your life, it’s going to help you to be resilient when those challenges come your way.

Now, yes, you can avoid some challenges and obstacles, but you can’t avoid them all. So you got to have that resiliency to be able to keep moving forward. Keep moving forward, my friend. All right. So I want you. Now, here’s a little bit of an application or an action step for you. All right? While you’re listening to this and feel free to push pause. But I want you to think just for a moment.

What can you do? Or how can you integrate consistency? How can you bring consistency into your life, into all the life areas of your life that are important to you? How can you bring it in? How can you become more consistent? How can you do those things on a regular basis that you need to do? I want you to think about this for a minute. Just ask yourself, how can I become more consistent?

Or what life area do I need to be more consistent in so I can make it a part of who I am? Think about that just for a minute. Go ahead and hit pause. Think about how can you become more consistent in your life in general. I’ll wait for you. All right, now, hope you did that. If you need some help with some of the specifics of the consistency and all that, go for.

Feel free to listen to one of the other episodes in this series again, go back and dive into it. There’s a whole bunch of them there just for you, to help you to identify ways and means and methods that you can become more consistent. But I want you to identify a specific action that you can take in each of the life areas that you identified that would be helpful for you to become more consistent in.

Now I want you to go ahead and pause this again. Give yourself a minute to think and just ask yourself, what’s a specific action that I can take this next week to become more consistent? Go ahead and figure one out for yourself. This is, this is where the rubber meets the road. Is you thinking of just a specific action you can take for each of the life areas that you want to be more consistent in.

What’s one thing that you can do this week? You know, maybe you thought of something related to your work and becoming more consistent with your time management or a specific skill that you’re trying to develop in an action step that you can take to help develop that skill where you can become consistent. Or maybe it’s in your relationships and it’s regular communication or spending quality time with your.

With your spouse. Maybe it’s something that you can do that’s kind and you’re going to practice acts of kindness and you’re going to become more consistent because you’re going to do this one thing once a week. Maybe it’s in your personal growth. You’re going to become more consistent with your continuous Learning or, you know, some reflection time for yourself or, or maybe a passion or a hobby that you have, and you’re going to become more consistent in it because it, it’s just good for your well being.

Maybe you pick the life area of your health and you become more consistent with your exercise or your eating habits. You know, sticking to that eating diet that you’re supposed to have that’s, that’s better for your health, that’s unique for you, or maybe it’s with your stress management, you know, and you’re doing some, some meditation, some mindfulness exercises, you know, what other life areas it could be. Skills, hobbies, passions, you know, wherever in your life that, you know, you could see some benefits for becoming more consistent.

Identify an action that you’re going to take this week and that you’ll be able to continue to maintain. So make it. I’m going to go and say make it small. Make it small, because those small steps, you know, they’ll carry you and they’re easier to maintain than those large leaps. So what small action steps are you going to take this next week to become more consistent in the life areas that are most important to you?

We’ve had a lot of these podcast episodes in this series talking about the hows and the where’s and the what’s and all these things you can do. But now is where you’re going to take some action. All right, so you got it. You got the life area that you’re going to improve with some consistency. You got a specific action. You’re going to take in at least one of those life areas.

Right? Right. Come on, commit to it and you can do it. Trying to build consistency into your life, into just who you are. It’s a journey, it’s not a destination. And I’m gonna go ahead and tell you it can be tough and challenging. Like I said, life’s not just supposed to. It’s not supposed to be easy. And as John Maxwell says, everything’s worth worthwhile. It is uphill all the way.

But becoming consistent so that you can live the life you want, it is worth it, my friend. It is worth it. It is hard work and it is worth it. And on top of all that, I promise you, you can do it. Just be patient with yourself. You know, be persistent, but be patient. Give yourself some grace. I’m talking about all this consistency. It’s not like you’re going to be perfect with consistency.

I mean, everybody that knows me knows that I am not, not 100% consistent. 100% of the time, I’m nowhere near perfect. Farthest, Furthest. Furthest thing from it. But the one thing I can tell you is that I always. I should say it like that. I believe I always get back up and I’m. I’m pretty. I’m pretty persistent. So I’ll get knocked down, I’ll get off track on my consistency, but I’m going to get back up.

So make that promise to you. Make that promise to make it promise to me that you’re going to get back up. You’re going to get back up if you get off track and it’s going to be okay. All right, look, we’ve all faced challenges. I said, I know I’ve faced a ton, especially when it comes down to being consistent. But the more you just go ahead and commit to your.

To yourself, and the more you get okay with the setbacks and the challenges, the. I mean, I think that’s one of the things that helps me with being consistent is, I am very okay knowing that I’m gonna. I’m gonna mess up, I’m gonna get off track, I’m gonna get knocked down, I’m. It’s gonna happen, and I’m cool with it. Because you know what? I’m gonna get right back at it.

And that’s. That kind of mindset will carry you where you need to be. I’ve gotten off track on diets, on exercises, on all kinds of things, but I feel like I’ve. I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress because when I get off track, that’s okay. As soon as I see it, I own it. I’ve gotten off track. And you know what? Now I’m going to get back at it.

Because today’s a new day, and we can be consistent in the areas of life that are important to each one of us. Now you have the power to create the life that you want through consistency, and you have the power to experience the fulfillment of living that best life. You know, claiming your day each and every day through consistent actions. And by integrating and by bringing that consistency into your whole life, it’ll spill into the other areas to going to help you to achieve your goals.

It’s going to help you to continuously improve. It’s going to help you to live that life you want to live. It’s going to help you to regularly grow making, and that’s what’s going to make tomorrow even better than it was today. You can do these things, my friend. You know that bringing that consistency into just who you are and your whole lifestyle. It’s going to help you with that holistic growth.

It’s going to help your well being. It’s going to help you to maintain the changes that you want to make. And for your long term success, it’s going to help you to live according to your values because that’s the areas that you’re going to be consistent in. It’s going to help you to be able to increase your resiliency and your adaptability for when things come up. You’re going to be able to adjust and keep going because you’re consistent, my friend.

All right, that’s about what I got for today’s episode. Go ahead and make sure you select the life area that’s most important to you. At least one that you’re going to be develop some consistency in. And make sure you set at least one action step for this next week that’s going to help you to be consistent in that life area. And if missed any of the previous episodes in this series, go back and listen to them.

We got one more in this series going to be able to just wrap things up, wrap everything up that’s in the next episode. And then after that we’ll dive on to our next topic, helping you to claim your day. All right, here’s to you, my friend. Take care and I can’t wait to talk to you soon.
